Thats realy good what you are doing,passing the hobby to your nephew,and give him motivations,
he looks interested and has a nice "hey i am learning interesting stuff " look,he must be a smart young fellow!

Currently on this, I wrote already about it earlier, asking for opinions on hands...
Well, finally made movement ring to fit.
Still need to blacken screws.. Not bad for first try...
