We will have to wait and see.
Thank you,M.,I thought it was weird because gaining more hours daily is quite a lot.I'll buy a demagnetising tool and see.If I understand correctly, the worst case scenario is a hairspring replacement? Or is this a loterry and returning the clock should be the way to go?Thanks in advance!
Thanks,mate!miki360 wrote: ↑August 1st, 2019, 4:13 pm This might help to solve the problem

It depends on whether the movement has an overcoil hairspring, free sprung or a flat like the one in the auction.miki360 wrote: ↑August 1st, 2019, 4:13 pm This might help to solve the problem

Gaining that much can only be a few things, magnetism can be checked with a compass, a turn or two of the hairspring clinging because it is oily or greasy, a dirty and gummed up movement will make the balance assembly move fast back and forth instead of a more normal amplitude.mykeos wrote: ↑August 1st, 2019, 3:19 pmThank you,M.,I thought it was weird because gaining more hours daily is quite a lot.I'll buy a demagnetising tool and see.If I understand correctly, the worst case scenario is a hairspring replacement? Could of course also be a distorted hairspring or that it has slipped out of the pins on the adjuster.
