Yeah,the other way of saying it's F.U.B.A.R.,maybe.I just managed to get the broken stem out and wound it with a new one.It does wind,but the balance doesn't move.It does move when blown upon,but stops right after.The balance staff could be kaput.

Hey, you posted about that particular auction a while back, there were pictures of the movement and a nice flat hairspring. Did someone perhaps tamper with this movement before shipping?

Let me see a picture of that area, you can send it to my private address.
If it really is missing, then you should let the seller know that they removed a $375 - $400 part, plus work.
That should make them sit upright and listen.
It's not even legal, and they are in trouble if they run a business.

That's interesting,I didn't know Angelus movs. were being produced in the 70s as well.Beautiful NOS looking movement you have there,sir :clap:
