These circles overlapping each other reminded me of some Harry Winston dials,specially the earlier works.

Didn't know he designed watches for Hamilton only new the worth he done doe Packard cars and science fiction novels.
And after your tip i searched and found the he designed the famous Triangle style Hamilton (See men in black film) !
