Needs some more tuning , this is rough design, with ER16 collet chuck fitted with bearings into stainless steel body...

It is a spindle, it has ER16 chuck, which has collet set to accept drill bits or endmills from 1 to 10 mm. It is intended for precise drill press. This part will be fitted into steel body, will have motor on one end and can be moved up&down by lever...
I will try to find similar picture...
Roughly, if you know how Emco 3 lathe headstock can be turned into milling attachment...
Will find pictures, shouls be more clear...

I am stil in the dark, using a 1930s Longines mini lathe for staffs and smaller parts....I guess one can't be everywhere.

Thanks! I enjoy working on parallel projects... I mean, not really enjoy, just get used to live that way

Third actual project in my timeslots: finishing conversion of old horizontal mill into combined/vertical mill...hopefully, should be finished this year. Here is pic:
