With the heat waves coming in for the summer and the 26mm leather straps being a bit warm, I thought a light steel summer watch was in order. 36mm Air King case, green Wyler bubble plexi and an Angelus automatic (ETA 2451).
Tore down and rebuilt the movement. Everything looked great inside, with the exception of a chipped jewel- have a replacement on the way along with a new mainspring. Runs perfect dial up, but the amplitude dives dial down. Not sure if it’s the chipped jewel (train bridge seconds pinion), but here’s hoping the replacement fixes it

reshaping AliExpress case

I didn't finish two Gordon's case, why I now reshaping Ali case? it's about the madness of HF hobby !
also laser ingravings removed. I will put proper one. ooooh, Now I get it, Ali is cheap, so I do not care much and act more boldly...

, anyways it is in my plan, and I will kill it soon. if you noticed, I moved winding crawn tube down...

great work! Standard engravings are good in my opinion...
Lugs look great, centered tube perfect - how did you move that safely down?
Or is it a new tube?
the panerai standard engravings are pantograph made, I will engrave pantograph. Standard Ali engravings are engraved by laser. they are very nice laser engravings. also I want serial number according to the movement and year of production. so I do not want one side laser, another pantograph. I bought few cases, they are insane cheap, just want to play!

This is super cool! Would love to know where you found that case, I’m a big fan of engine turned bezels!

Thanks Yoda, wwwEvgeny & Ciccio!
@Ciccio I bought the case on eBay from a seller named riyi002. He was really helpful in answering my questions about the internal case and crystal measurements, and the shipping was actually pretty quick from China to the US.
@wwwEvgeny that case work looks excellent! Would it be possible to order a couple with custom lug engravings from you when your workflow allows?
