Derailing the thread a wee.
28 mm and 32 mm eight day movements with 11 jewels. They could have had a few more jewels, but they are actually running well and can be used for a cheap and fun daily beater.

Brilliant open up a few alternative case size options....

I’m sorry if I missed it somewhere, but could someone chime in with a little explanation of what’s involved with converting a key wind to a stem wind? I have an opportunity to get a 240 key winding alarm model in good condition for very cheap but I don’t want to pull the trigger if I’ll still need to source an impossible part/s like an entire keyless.

Chile, the parts needed from Jorge and in the region of $600 for a full conversion.
Add $200 for the work and shipping.
I can break it down in detail if you like.
That’s what I need to know, thanks! Sounds like shelling out the extra $$$ for a stem wind is the best option.

$150+ dollars in damage.....
Please remember not to force a date change on these clocks. Replacement hour wheels are one of the harder parts to find.

Ouch!
$150 is to fabricate a NEW piece HW or just to get an OLD HW parts?

I’m helping someone with a movement. That was the amount he paid for a used part.
