I would look for a spring loaded crown with 1,2mm threads, less risky.
I see that you have a logo on the crown, measure the case tube with the flat part and let me know.
I have a good selection of crowns with tubes and it is yours for free if I have one.

Having just received an amazing gilt 3 6 9 submariner dial from @madasboot I was debating putting it into my actual 16610 Sub (which I have already moded with a dome plexi from Lobtime).

Discretion took the better of me for now so I decided to have a go at shaping an AliExp case instead.

From the top down...Ali case, next moded Ali case with lugs also drilled and filled ready for NATO, bottom real 16610 from 1992 with dome plexi.

Not sure I can take much more off the Ali case, maybe a little. ImageImage
