Yeah! The regulator has a perfect black polish. The complete pocket watch also has a cool trick. If you open the back cover and balance it on a flat surface, the whole case will rock back and forth.
Hang it on a chain so it is free to move and you will see a similar motion.

The price is definitely good on that spring. I haven’t had mine apart yet, are the mainspring and alarm spring the same size on the 240?

Generic is better, just remember to use a one or two strengths lower to avoid wear to the movement as the white ones are stronger.

Would this apply to most older watches that use carbon steel mainsprings? I’ve got four Wyler Incaflex pocket watches, all of them need new mainsprings and all of them need a visit to the staking tool as the barrels have too much play and look like amusement Park rides.
