Wasn’t there a Chinese 8ish day movement a few years back? I think we nicknamed it the warthog …. Is my memory playing tricks on me?

Peacock SL-6601 and Hangzhou 7-series maybe
this one has an 80-hour power reserve (3.33 days)

AND the Beijing's TB03 series... 5-day power reserve but with tourbillon, I think

EDIT: seems like the TB03 series is your best bet?

and some more modern ones like the TB10 tourbillon (but only 3 days of power reserve)

Don't remember any Chinese movement that actually has 8-day power reserve. Most '8-day' Chinese movements are normal movements with the power reserve indicator looks like 8-day.
The only thing I could think of is this one, BeiJing B24 dual balancer movement, 100h power reserve (5-day). That's the only one can be confirmed formally with a long power reserve. It's a very expensive thing, brand-new watch is about $10K, used one about $3-5K, never seen movement alone for sale.

I think TB-3 was never actually mass-produced, I have never seen an actual movement photo other than factory advs..

ASSA medium size movement, about 41mm. Has 7j or 15J version. More of a clock movement than a watch movement.

7 jeveled movement, works nicely in a clock.

Bought this car clock marked simply “8 days” on the dial for $10, no idea what was under the hood. Here’s what I found:

43mm. Can’t seem to find anything like it on ranfft searching “schild”. Anyone recognize it? marked 1931 on the back of the housing.
Thanks, D

This one is almost like an inversed image of my Lemania medium 8-day movement.

It's most likely an AS movement, A. Schild. Strange that it has no cap jewel on the dial side.....

@Yoda @sazabi2001 tjqnks for digging! That Chinese Beijing movement is a piece of art!
Do both balances have to swing perfectly in sync for this movement?!
