It started as an unfinished plexi insert made by Stephen Dexter.
I hand sanded it to be able to get it in place and then painted/lumed it.
My next plexi insert project is a GMT Pepsi build.
That'll be nice , gotta love a plexi bezel insert

Yes, I do think so
Here is a test (with gen vintage tropic strap)
I need to refinish the hands.

Great selection.
I was going to build the watch with a civilian version insert but changed my mind at the last minute. It looks good.

Trying to restore this old thing:
So far the parts required to invert it back to the correct lefty designation have been found and I’ve relumed the seconds hand and added on a prototype nut for the crown. Fresh crystal and mainspring as well.
It still needs a part that has been a bit of a hassle to get which is a yoke date connector I believe it’s called.
The first eBay seller sent us a used damaged broken one when a NOS one was promised. Then a second seller sent me the wrong part and only now sent the correct one hopefully on it’s way to get fitted.
Here’s how it looked most recently after I had relumed the hand:

Also this one just finally finished its journey.
It needed a few tweaks when I received it to make it juuuuuuuuust right.
I had a crownguard and crown refitted for a good snap, movement serviced, and the screws and lugbars perfected all around. Special thanks to Esdee and Unreformed for getting this Franken Mille Metri utterly immaculate.
I’m so grateful to Tanukjaju for letting me take care of this Franken MM grail. The Titanium is something I needed in my life.
My last task is to fit this buckle, that Mellon’s so graciously offered me, on to the Bonetto Cinturini rubber:

@civic4982 I'm glad you finally got those builds on a good track.
The Omega is my favourite.
