A week in Athens and a weekend in Spetses, it was amazing! What an incredible place with wonderful people! All of the food was delicious, the fruit and vegetables were like nowhere else I’ve been. Motorcycles and scooters and music and cats everywhere, you can smoke and drink in the museum of antiquities, real people who make real things (finding a leather worker or metal smith worth the money in the US is rare), excellent coffee, the metro was fast and easy, it was all mind blowing. Also, watching the frenzied flow of traffic while eating the best souvlaki I’ve ever had was pure poetry.

Just got home and I can’t wait to go back!

Yes, that's true ... by the way, I know that because I'm (an expat) Greek. Image

@dj57- you’re a lucky man to live there! I was going to post up to see if anyone wanted to meet up, but it was a work trip for my wife and me and my son had so much to see and do that I never got a chance to hop on the board. Hell, it was the first time in years that I went without checking in on EBay. I’ll be back though, I need more of that beautiful sunshine!

@Mellons- you should absolutely go for a visit, it’s an amazing place!
