Given that you'd need to file the tube down and lower the crown on the stem which as I'm sure you know involves knocking out the tiny pin securing crown to the stem... nothing I'd rush to be doing either, especially if you aren't too fussed about the height / profile of the CG in the first placeThe CG is of course big, but to be honest I’m not very upset about it, maybe in the future I’ll try to change it

Re: The perpetual wrist shot thread
There's only so much you can do since the bridge of the CG is too thick vs gen. So to preserve the headroom for the crown to pop up into time set the best you can get is something like this, which is a marginal improvement for a great deal of sweaty work with no margin for error:
And I still need to remove metal from the RH side of the CG lever beak... Which I will do, eventually, on a wet Wednesday afternoon
Apologies - this should really be on the perpetual CG thread but I'll stop now.

I have already replaced the lever (extra long tip), I have ground down the tube. Now I'm training on Ali NWNick_B wrote: ↑February 12th, 2024, 2:56 pmGiven that you'd need to file the tube down and lower the crown on the stem which as I'm sure you know involves knocking out the tiny pin securing crown to the stem... nothing I'd rush to be doing either, especially if you aren't too fussed about the height / profile of the CG in the first placeThe CG is of course big, but to be honest I’m not very upset about it, maybe in the future I’ll try to change it

Eh, that rounded tip puts me to shame
The tolerances are right but the job needs tidying up.
