UV gel is great because it will give you these smooth surfaces.
In my experience you need more Lume powder in the mixture as with other binders. White background is very important.
Finally, to get the lume more yellow you can try a compatible yellow UV resin/laquer or you go to special pigment shops and look for a dark yellow pigment. A first trial could be done with ground solid water colors. Take care with the grain size. Should be as fine as the lume powder. Otherwise you see it in the finished lume.

waiting for the light yellow lume shipment. I will cut the lume until metal, then paint white color thin layer, then add thin layer of new lume. test on piece of metal first ofcause. for me more important how it looks like at normal lighting.

BTW, I found that UV hardened lume dissolves after a while in ultrasonic bath with acetone. Most of the time it comes off in one piece.
Of course, when your dial is painted, you have to repaint it.

Nice! . This color will definitely look good with some added touch to make it more vintage. I believed growing Green is Brighter and last longer. :D

Oh, and guys remember, UV resin can expire and it won't set.

Sometimes you can help to cure the UV resin dropping some rubbing alcohol on it (that also can destroy it, be careful).
