I never really get it when it says "vintage diver's" watch, these had, as far as I know, no screw down crown and the gaskets in the o-rings were not the best.

Interesting.
They were so popular with so many various brands on these EPSA cases. I wonder why they chose them. Perhaps there were just not many options back then for inexpensive case making?

I don't think there's a reason to suspect the movement is a counterfeit
This is a fair 616. Sometimes stamps on bridges are not clear enough and may have some surprising defects:

I wouldn’t know if it was counterfeit, but I do know it says 516, not 616. Seller listed as 616. That’s all I noticed.
