just keep in mind ... it will require at least, another $700 to covert to a SW movement

That’s why I didn’t pull the trigger myself... still if someone absolutely „needed“ one, I guess this would fit the bill.

This guy was selling this watch for €75 at a local site for the Cortebert and another pocket watch. I offered him what he was asking and he came back to me saying that someone was offering more and he was waiting for the offer. Then the ad was removed and now I found it at eBay.
Don’t know the seller but just an heads up on the behavior.

It depends on what level of collector or smith you are ... if the price is down there like $300 ... it may be good to hoard for parts.
All SF240 parts are not interchangeable .. there are variations over the years. Obviously the most desirable and newer version is the Incabloc because cosmetically it looks just like the 240 in the 203. However, the Incastar 240 and it's shock system is just at good. The older 240 are great too when serviced properly and and worn gears replaced. I mean nobody is going out and chopping wood with these watches on ... shock systems are relative in these movements.

It appears to have been reworked a number of times, there is an awful lot of stamps near the balance. I have never seen that many stamps...
Also, how the hell do people succeed in creating all these marks on screws and bridges, like Fred Flintstone was there...
