Oh, do you remember that River welded lug midcase we talked about?
I think I'm ready to git a try
Yes, I do. Let me know what you are thinking,
Just working on building my own welded lug from scratch, soldering of the lugs included.
That's why I'm looking for a river midcase.
Is that the one I sent to you back in the day? Do you have any pictures?
I have sent pictures to your private email.

BOOMSKI! This weekend I will put together my SF240 with NOS parts! Does it make it a franken, clone, copy, just because it hasn't been assembled at the Angelus factory? Do I care, no! But please do chime in with your thoughts.

I have been thinking of a series of pictures, all parts on the table and then one step at a time.

I consider it NOS custom.
Since you cannot get brand a brand new movement from factory. To me, it is worth more than a 70 year old movement.
Plus, the personal satisfaction that you have built it.

I am all over the place about this, NOW is the time to put together my ultimate SW SF240 with NOS parts and this one is NOT going to leave me.
Esdee WL V2 and with hands on by Elias, what more to ask for....I will most likely die when it is finished, at least 10 years in the make and so many thoughts.

I guess that means it is more likely a franken but who cares! The important thing is that you made it better.

Isn’t this what Panerai should have done for the 203? They said, they „found“ hundredfiddy-some movements and parts somewhere and made all brandnew NOS watches?
I wonder as well what an homage like yours, that will undoubtedly surpass the originals in quality and most of all honesty can be considered to be... this goes into philosophical territory, I‘m afraid.
