That's part of the staking set. A few pics back you can see it mounted in the anvil.

It is the complete set of the Dumont tweezers from the 1940s, master is particular....

The eight day "feature" is because of the extra wheel next to the mainspring barrel, the one in the middle and above the pallet bridge at 11 o'clock.

And BOOMSKI! Only original parts were used, apart from the barrel bridge. The ratchet wheel screw has been replaced with the original one.
This is the closest you can come to the GPF 2/56, also known as the 12.55, pretty accurate historically as the movement is now stamped 4 54.
