The Pam is butt-ugly to my taste! But this is the case with most of their marketing oriented iterations.
Panerai is trying to sell the same two watches over and over and I think they are turning the wrong knobs there.
I just visited their website and found they are advertising a new material called „goldtech“ by pointing out how cool it is to have a lot of „precious“ copper in the alloy. This pretty much sums it up for me...

I don’t know where Panerai currently is sales-wise but there is not a single model in their current line that would make me spend 8k retail.

If they really pushed the technical side like water resistance, power reserve etc. or focused on superior craftsmanship or developed for example a „wearable“, classic egi, they could regain a lot of their credibility as a brand for me. Design-wise, I think, the Rad and the Luminor are exploited to every degree possible...

My 2c and still, given the funds, I‘d buy a 372 in a heartbeat 😁 but this is like sticking flowers up a dead squirrels ass and giving it away as a wedding present.

😆 you had me at dead squirrels and flowers stuck where they shouldn’t be...
I do agree however that the panerai of recent times seems to have lost its way big time.

"Panerai Luminor GMT Blueradish"

Ok, I'm off to hide now....... Image
Haha, I'm ok with that. Once it's named after me I can fix that mess they released.
Sound like a more reliable Name!!! LoL Image

Why haven't they learned to pass these great ideas by the members here on H-F first? It's free. We will steer them right. :) It would be the best business decision they could make.
Arrogant & plight!

Totally agreed on the smaller wearable classic looking egi!

What a radical drift in just kess than a decade
Btw, the discussion took a hilarious character.

I'd be an Egi buyer small or the original size

That's a move I could get behind. Get that Egi down in size and I'd grab a gen in a heartbeat.
