To be honest, if asian movt is properly oiled - it runs very nice.
If Swiss movt had some bad servicing history and watchmaker's adventures - it could be a painful experience as well...
So, there is no general rule...
However, let's take a look of old Hamiltons: so fine, well shaped, everything fits perfectly, smooth run, awesome look - all that in 70 or more years old movements... Maybe Chinese will reach ETA quality in next 20 years but they will not get that close to Hamilton...
Same stands for many other brands, speaking of vintage movements : Omega, Helvetia (mother of Omega, right?), Longines, Zenith, Movado.... List goes on...
