neckyzips wrote: May 2nd, 2019, 4:21 pm very nice! how do you bend your tangs?
With my super secret custom made bending tools, naturally ;) Essentially, a hardened nail and a pair of pliers. Place the tang on cutting board, near edge, press it down with the nail, bend up with fingers - cut excess, re-finish the end - bend around buckle with pliers.
there must be an easier way! lol thank you

I have a design for a tool in mind. I even drew it on paper once...but figured that it would cost hundreds to make 'cause CNC shops are expensive so... the drawing stayed on paper.

@neckyzips You can use the "media" tag to insert it here if you like:
"" <== without the quotes naturally

Works with youtube videos and others.

On the Youtube case, it's simpler than that! just paste the URL and you are all set  (without tags)

Abarth wrote: May 2nd, 2019, 7:49 pm I see from your pictures that the tang is connected to the body of the buckle with a pin, is this a spring pin by chance?
If you mean these, all three have screws:

Thanks :D

I think the pre-v ones are the ones closest to gen. I spent days studying historical documents about the shape and engravings.
