Some news regarding the missing key. Now that my official retirement is two weeks away, my gear will be picked up by my employer.
I explained my issue and they will take the safe as it is and open it in a shop, weld it all back in place and reset the lock with a set of new keys and finally bring it back to me.
The thing is that there are a few items in there with a substantial value, a par of four tubed NVG's and a rifle.
I am told that the NVG alone is worth something like $60000 - $65000....
