Is that one for those A11 cases?miki360 wrote:Nice military movement with great looking hands https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Milita ... SwOiReinvS
It is A-17A designation for this model ,not A11 i believe .bmsm wrote: ↑April 9th, 2020, 1:37 pmIs that one for those A11 cases?miki360 wrote:Nice military movement with great looking hands https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Milita ... SwOiReinvS

I am curious whether it was sf240 or notmykeos wrote: ↑April 7th, 2020, 11:25 am I think it's 99% chance it's not a sf240 (compass on top has much thinner bezel than the ones with sf240 and the stem has a thickening only seen on 32mm "other" 8 day movements),but one can never be sure. The seller has been helpful, but he doesn's dare to open the case and make photos of the back. The seller is trustworthy, though,I bought a sixsome from him in 2019 and it all went well.

As mentioned,I think it isn't a 240 but the "other" one,the AF foursome had exactly the same dial and hands,a colar under the crown seems thicker than on sf240 as well, those "prototype" movements have that.Again, there is a chance it was indeed the sf240,I am curious.I wish the seller could have made a photo of the back.TimemiT wrote: ↑April 9th, 2020, 3:56 pm YEah ... another one I missed!!Crap!!!
It most likely has one of those prototype Angelus movements (like the one I posted in my recent thread) - OR ... maybe a SF240? It has hands exactly like mine and the others I have seen, and it is from the same era ... and non-alarm. I just wanted to get it for the parts .... but that thing went for $300+ ... like the last one.
but I have seen an AF clock like that with an old SF240 inside ... so, maybe?
Hopefully whoever got it chimes in?
HERE to compare ... notice it's not 240 .... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Triple-Abercro ... SwePpeAWZG
I messaged seller. Dial is 25.4mm would be a very small watch.miki360 wrote: ↑April 9th, 2020, 2:45 pmIt is A-17A designation for this model ,not A11 i believe .bmsm wrote: ↑April 9th, 2020, 1:37 pmIs that one for those A11 cases?miki360 wrote:Nice military movement with great looking hands https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Milita ...
