If you decide to come to Italy, certainly Rome, Florence and Venice are wonderful cities ... but know that there are other beautiful cities like Verona, Milan, Naples etc. etc. I believe that with 3/4 hours of flight from Tel Aviv you will arrive immediately in Rome.
