Eaton 1/4 Century Elinvar 622 pocket watch going on auction today in Germany. Estimate is €750-€1500. Could be a bargain, especially for EU people, if this goes in the lower part of the estimate.

very nice one, 618, 620?
622. In short the same movement as Cortebert 620 except bridge design, breguet overcoil, swan neck, nicer finishing & six adjustments. Many parts are interchangeable with the 620. But nothing interchangeable with the thicker 616/618.
Perfect for a build, but I would find a 620 to put into the pocket watch too.

Thanks, I will try my luck, I already have a 620 I could use for the case and this would replace the 620

There is something wrong with the dial on this one. Never seen one of these with "Rolex" on the dial or "Chronometer".
The case and everything else looks good. Even the engraving on the outside of the case. Seems around 1939 they were engraving the outside of the case with the initials.

you are right, I look true google and I couldn’t find any Eaton pocket watch with “Rolex” even “chronometer” on the dial. I also guess that rolex only was the supplier of the movements to Eaton. as cortebert to rolex
btw the adjustment screw of the swan neck is missing. I better stay with my cort.620 a nos looking one
