Seems like Breguet and also LeCoultre used that abbreviation in their movements "HPG"

I see on Sevanata's movement it also has the 6 adj. I have a couple Eaton 622's, they are marked Adjusted 6 positions. Wondered why the Rolex's were not. Maybe older movements?

The Eaton movements are definitely older, 1920s-1930s. The Oyster pocketwatch movements are 1940s-1950s I think. I assume that after some time watch companies stopped marking "adjusted" because it became an industry standard and unnecessary to mark anymore?

All what i know so far is there was a periot in the past the import tariffs were less for watches marked "unadjusted.
This caused many high grade Swiss watches to be marked "unadjusted" just to reduce costs.

Well, for import to USA, in that time, it was cheaper to mark movement as "Unadjusted" than "Adjusted X positions" due to lower tax rate... Simple business logic...

I think the Eaton movements from around that time were actually the Cortebert 514. There are a couple on ebay right now.

One dates service from 1911-1936. I'm assuming awarded 1936.

Mine are from 1914-1939 and 1918-1943 These are the 622 Style and marked adjusted 6 positions.

I have a third, but that one is a whole different story we can leave it out of this conversation. I think this homage thing goes back a lot farther then people think. It's for sale to the lowest bidder.

slpf. I remember reading something about that also. I also remember it as one of the ways to tell two identical watches apart for European and North American markets.
