Is one better than the other?

Why would incastar be present on the earliest panerai model equipped with 240s (egi) and then be done away with on later models?

I have too many questions hehe...
No, but I assume that incabloc is the one people are looking for as it was used by P*****i.

Incastar came 1948/1949 and the new barrel plate pattern came 1655/1956, so a personal guess is that this particular movement was issued 1955/1956 or later.
Based on the pictures I have seen panerai did you the incastar movement as well. But only in the big egi from what I've seen. That being said old parts seem to have been used all the time in those days. I wouldnt be surprised if there are 6152s or WLs out there that had an old surplus incastar movement put into them during servicing. Or an egi had a newer movement swapped in and then the inca star that was removed was later serviced and reused when another watch came for servicing.

This is at least how I am justifying that my inca star movment belongs in the WL build I am working on. The WL was a bit of a mish mosh collaboration of old and new parts so I feel like it would be more believable to find the inca star in that watch than my 6152 project. The 6152 gets the inca bloc since the nightwatch dial and case are about as close to a 1:1 recreation as it gets so the most accurate movment will live in there.

I am a chronic over thinker...

And a thread derailer... sorry guys...

Solder on backplate looks too new for a RP dial era...

Definitely not Tr0y.
His dials were anodized.

IMHO they are faked and badly made.
I would also say that the font is wrong (6 and 9), engravings also look weird and not made by a pantograph.

I ask the seller about the dials, for which movement, originally proofed and about RPMM, his answer:

“rolex 618
dann musst die richtigen bücher lesen u dann findest auch das
die sind definitiv original”

translation:

rolex 618
then you have to read the right books and then you will find too, that they are definitely original
