That is a screw for dial feet, like another on opposite side.
I had worked with this movements and had installed on Egiziano builds.

Very interesting, looking now at Ranfft pictures, it should be cal 526 according to bridge layout, everything fits except keyless screw. I suppose that stem can be removed from dial side because dial feet screws are easy accesible.

In this watches stem is different. You need to remove the movement from the case and stem remain fixed to case, you can unscrew it from crown then.
Stem here is not fixed to movement.
