I think its clear he has a lot of projects going on and completed projects, a growing watch collection. So managing it, having details clearly laid out makes sense and for others who have many projects, growing collections it might make sense for them too. Some folks function like this, my wife does and is actually one of the things that has made her so successful.
What he is doing is for like minded people...so not for you or me. But guarantee there are plenty of people who would be interested in such an app.
