I personally think the price is very subjective! If the seller is willing to wait long enough this may fetch a higher price than that 50! My opinion is to get the seller to list it as auction style to see how much the market value it! My 2 cents and hope it help.

Yup, I told him so. He is sort of active on ebay so he can take his chances.. He just asked me first if I'm willing to buy it... But I would rather pass it this time... I have tools and machines to buy

I told him "find me a bergeon lathe and I'll pay it 300"

I think the 50 was joking around... my 55 was! The last kw that went over ebay here was yesterday - it fetched 240€. Just do a search for sold items there... you‘ll find some to compare.

You are correct, it is a KW 240 ... and yes the $50 was in jest.
Converting a KW to a SW 240 can run easily $700+ for the parts and the labor. Then you are adding that amount on top of what the movement is going to cost. I'm being generic here ... because you can have a movement that has worn gears, damaged jewel, or the SW plates and parts do no fit well ... so they require a bit of adjustment, else you are going to have a movement that is more erratic than a bipolar wife going through menopause during the summer.
Maybe Yoda or others that do the conversions can fill in the nitty gritty.
I have personally picked up KW 240 on Ebay from $120 to $350 ... depending on the condition and which version of 240 it is.

i will be interested in buying if he wants a direct deal!
Yes prices goes from 150 From a non incabloc, and i personally have paid up to 500 for a incabloc KW CDG, because i dont have to invest on a KW to SW because i made them. But yes prices depends also if someone need it, i have at least 7 on my desk (mine, not counting the ones send me customers)., so i will probably will not pay 500USD, but if he get lucky probably someone else will pay that.
Regards

I can't add much to the good information already given, only that I think that around $400 is a reasonable price for this travel clock.
