Since Ranfft database is no longer available and scraped copies (ranfft.org, emmywatch) have very unreliable data and are not searchable/filterable by different parameters the wait is over - check The Watchmakers App on Apple App Store!

It's weird that someone would make an iphone only app, thus excluding 82% of smartphone users worldwide...

There is also a Rannfft database on the App Store by the same developer ‘Denniss Fenotov”.

There are several considerations:
- Development/maintenance/support for android is much more expensive
- Can't guarantee good enough performance on all android devices, leading to bad experience to low end device users
- iOS users are less opposed to paid features in general
- Security considerations - Apple platform is more secure in general

P.S. The app can also be used on iPads and Macs, not just iPhones.

Cool. Makes sense after you paid $4000 for a phone or however much those cost nowadays :lol:. Too bad though that I can't use the app. Oh well...
