Thanks so much for your response [mention]TimemiT[/mention]. I will be curious to see what is inside this one once I receive the unit. I’ll post pictures here for the sake of interest. My guess, given what appears to be its age and condition, is that it’s probably non-incabloc from what people have said, but hopefully it is otherwise able to be used as a donor movement.

The best part there with yours ... it is a SW movement!
Many of the newer Incablocs that are desirable have been KW .. so, obviously there is a much larger cost in labor and parts in converting this movement to SW

because then you will want to build a 6154 ... then a 3646 ... then build one using Gordon's ... Modern Vintage MV cases.
It's pretty cool when other collectors see a watch and then I pop it over .... and they see an Angelus movement !!! .. that WTF moment!! ... when their eyeballs pop out of their head! .. it's priceless
Then I proceed to tell them it's a one of a kind .. custom modified in Chile and then built in Virginia by a guy named Neckyzips
This is the "addiction" ... but at the end of the day ... you are wearing a pretty unique piece on your wrist, with history and camaraderie ..... versus walking into a Panerai store and paying $20K

it is definitely cheaper to just go with the Panerai AD, hookers and crack!

I was having a similar conversation with Gordon about the pantograph engraving on his cases and the artisan skill that goes into it. There is something very appealing (to me at least) in having something unique in this off the shelf, flat packed world. The fact that the movement has had a life (and now hopefully a new one) just adds to that sense.

Can anyone possibly tell me how the back cover of the clock movement should be removed? I’ve removed the three centre screws but the black knob at the bottom appears to be larger than the cover cut-out, so I assume it must be removed somehow. I just don’t want to force it.
