Decided to go with this 42mm case with a small display back so the movement can still be shown off without showing the movement ring. Now to find hands and a dial.

Found the perfect hands, a gold Mercedes set and a tiny hand for the sub seconds. For the dial I’m going to go with a milsub style dial with a 6:00 seconds dial. Thanks for the help everyone!

Still waiting on other parts but for now I made a movement ring and house the movement in this case with a leftover 3646 crown/tube from Adrian. The current hands are from the original pocket watch and the dial is something I had laying around.

Wow this is moving along rather quickly.

Any mock up or pics of the dial?

Here the finished version! Really really happy with this one as I’ve been wanting a field watch for a while. My apologies to Albatross for ruining the beautiful lume job on this dial, but I had to remove all of the lume and paint when I decreased the diameter. Relumed it then aged it to hell. Completed with some Ranger style hands. Some time I may take it all apart and age the case or just let it happen naturally. For now it’s perfect to me :)

Let me plant a thought..... age the case to match the insides ;)

Or not. Either is perfectly fine.

Yeah I can’t decide if I want to do it artificially or just let nature take its course and wear it when I’m working
