My first thought was also no visible crown, and green 12 numeral.
It looks like a Fitch patent, he made silver cases that first of all were supposed to be dust proof, perhaps even water proof/resistant.
I had a feeling that the crown was under the bezel, I have seen that in a pocket watch.
It is a really neat watch.

interesting piece, seen that the crown was missing but wouldn’t imagine that it is hide inside the case
