Next time I wonder what tool to use, my first thought is most likely going to be: 'Monkey condom?'

Very nice set of tools. However, I would say you need a staking set... Also, personal opinion, but timegrapher is essential if you perform or intend to service movements.

It all depends on how much you are going to be doing.

Staking set, yes. Oils, grease, oilers, cleaning equipment...the list goes on and on.

Exactly, it never ends, you will always miss some tools. Murphy would say something like "You will always miss a tool in some moment... That very same tool you didn't bought few days ago and it was offered at very reasonable price" :)

I have an App based timegrapher with FP clamp microphone ... I guess it's adequate?

the oils and oilers are expensive for sure ... and the staking set really gets into another level of what I want to be doing.

I have quite a few watches and movements ... servicing will become very expensive that I have considered training myself so I can at least do simple maintenance on them

Do you mean open source application "Tg", there is a thread about it at WatchUSeek ? It is pretty good stuff, however ordinary timegraher is much more convenient for everyday use since it is a machine dedicated to one job only.
Oil set is not cheap but lasts very long time. Oilers, there are so much of them with different prices but you can start with budget types, for example check at CousinsUK. They also have Bergeon oilers which are pretty good for it's price of 4,5 GB pounds.
Staking set is a "magic tool" and you can perform much more things with it, not just simple exchange of balance staffs.
Hence, once you enter in this world, you dive deeper and deeper, prices of tools becomes more and more relative :)
