Well, all this doesn't affect my decision much, it just happened to occur within the same time frame.
As Tan wrote, it goes beyond.

XP was great but I have gotten used to 7, with some modifications it's actually almost as good or better - I can't decide (or remember) But I have been using Firefox for over a decade (two if you count Mozilla and Netscape before that) and I don't want to change that. In fact the IE on my PC has no access to the web at all - blocked by Symantec
You're kind of right. Millenium replaced 98 and they both sucked but Millenium sucked harder. Then came 2000 which sucked much less (because it wasn't based on 98 but NT) until it became XP SP3, which was finally good, only 9 years later... Seems that no matter the version it used to take 4-5 service packs to make Windows good - this applies to Vista SP5, AKA Wndows 7 SP2

My browser is showing a "We use cookies to...", it's still there after I have pressed "Got it" a zillion times and it's just an annoying experience for me as a moderator.
So, I hereby resign.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be a moderator, sorry to admit that it is nothing I can do the way I would like it to be done.
