Happy Sinterklaas. New Name???

I have a question/problem.

I went to see this “marketing” guy and asked how to increase sales. He said it was all about marketing and branding.

Then he said OWC Watch Company, Orange Watch Company were no good.

He said “Daanz” as a brand.

Do I really did not want to change the name? All I wanted was a bit of guidance how to increase “brand” awareness of the Orange Watch Company (OWC).

What do you think about the “current name” and “Daanz”?

I think “Daanz” is a stupid name. I cant tell how its supposed to be pronounced. “Dans”? “Dawns”? “Da-ans”? I really have no idea. I wouldnt buy anything that i cant pronounce because im sure ill feel stupid when someone asks me what kind it is, then i butcher the pronounciation.

It sounds like what an older guy would suggest to try to pander to the “millenials”.

I like OWC. Its simple, memorable, and the logo is cool. But im not a marketing guy so what do i know...

"Daanz" does not sound catchy to me, I began to see a drunk Santa in front of me....WTF is "Happy Sinterklaas", "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Santa"?

OWC and Orange Watch Company does much more for me. There was something about OWC, or is my memory playing tricks on me? OWC, I have always liked that name/brand. Dan, if it works, don't fix it! Perhaps changing the font and color, but that is a minor thing in the bigger picture.

Daanz doesn't mean anything to me.

If „Daanz“ was the guy's suggestion, change the guy not the name of your company. OWC is a brand!

We normally celebrate on Dec 6th, but as the old people (my Dad and his siblings) die, this centuries old tradition may die as we embrace local traditions. I personally think it sad. But we have to go with the flow. Also we used to celebrate christmas on the 24th. but since we all married anglo's this too has been displaced to the 25th.

Doesn't matter what the name is. You make the name what it is.

Some of the coolest people I know have the dorkiest names I've ever heard, but those names mean something after you got to know them.

I am not a marketing expert but OWC is way better than Daanz.

That deciding moment 150 years ago when the “expert” said...

“I think you should change the name to Dingus instead of IWC, it’s all about brand recognition.”

I am also not in love with DAANZ. To me it is more like a soft drink or bum creme.

I think we will solder on with OWC/Orange Watch Company.
