I struggle with it as well M, but I know this will sit in my basement unused and become powder.

I see it as a re-purposing of history. This bag was destine for the trash until I saved it, now it will have renewed life with people that can enjoy a piece of history on their wrists for years to come.

Perhaps better that way, unused would be a shame.

you are right, Upcycling is a very good way to use old things again and give it a new use. if there would something left from the beauty leather I would like to get a piece too

I dissected it today, next step is to hit it with some hide rejuvenator and then make a test strap.
