Not sold yet. 9 more days. It will be more over $1000.TimemiT wrote:It sold for $660 ... that $160 profit is going to cost him 13% in fees and minus another $10 to ship

Re: Interesting eBay Auctions
damn ... my bad ... you are correct.
I've been on Ebay 20 years ... I hope those are actual bids ... guys that have been around Ebay a long time know how the bidding game is played ... one way is to have friends place bids on your auction to drive the bidding, or having additional accounts to bid up auction themselves. The winning bidder thinks they have it for $660 and last 10 secs a sniper comes in and swipes it for $675.
I do hope it sells for over $1000 ... that just makes all our 240's worth as much and more

It happened to me twice with the same item and seller lately. It was an abercrombie pocket watch with sf240 in pristine condition, from a prominent seller of watches/clocks from France on ebay. I was the highest bidder with around 350usd and he always came in with the higher bid from the same account. And the pocket watch was unsold.,he admitted that in pm and offered to sell it for 700.i don't understand why he hadn't put the reserved price option in the first place.

Re: Interesting eBay Auctions
I tried! You can't! The system is designed so this is not an option, and they don't receive emails either, only a phone call. They say such conduct is against their policy, but that they have a way to detect, which is obviously not true or they are oblivious to it.Yoda wrote: ↑August 31st, 2019, 7:13 amHighly suspicious, I would have reported that!mykeos wrote: ↑August 31st, 2019, 7:05 amTimemiT wrote: ↑August 30th, 2019, 4:58 pm damn ... my bad ... you are correct.
