It happens ... when you start hitting mid to late 40's ... and it truly goes downhill like within a year! It can happen sooner if you originally has any lasik eye surgery to correct your far vision.

So ... I have bought several bifocal readers ... these are a decent combination, because they are also impact resistant and have a decent size bifocal area. They are cheap.

My eyes have gotten worse with age but I don't think it is related to any of my hobbies or work. I do think that I could blame my parents but for various reasons I won't. I am pretty sure that I screwed up my hearing by listening to music at excessive levels of volume though

Suddenly I have "swimmers." These little crystalline particles that are floating here and there inside the eye. Every eye doctor I go to has no solution for them, just wait and see, unless I get the fluid in my eyeballs replaced. Which scares me. I will forge onwards with the existing fluid.

they are called "floaters" ... the liquid in our eye is like a viscous jelly .. usually tissue from inside the eye ball gets detached and "float" in the jelly ... and then they fixate in one spot ... kinda sucks. A blow to the head or some jarring smack can dislodge those tiny pieces of tissue loose ... sucks when you look at mainly a white surface or sunny day

but correct .. no solution for them ... replacing the fluid in the eye ball is reserved for critical eye procedure, like some major glaucoma or retina detachment ... otherwise, we just have to live with those floaters
