I would like to write a few lines about this wonderful mechanical chronograph, the Sugess SG 480 equipped with the Venus 175, in its SEAGULL ST1901 derivation.
Purchased on AE for 135 euros in the 40 mm version (real and measured by caliber) and with a vintage beige dial, it arrived in 15 days in a very sturdy plastic package, and was equipped with a genuine leather strap printed with an alligator motif, black in color, rather rigid.
Luckily the package also includes a Milanese mesh strap, very practical and light.
I have been using it for about 20 days.
The first start was surprising, two turns of the crown and it started.
I started the chronograph for the first time after about half a day of work, and the start was impeccable.
So far I have not yet detected the typical "jump" that can happen on chronographs with a horizontal clutch.
As you know, the caliber is the Seagull ST19, a derivative of the Venus 175, a noble caliber equipped with a horizontal clutch and column wheel.
I can say that at the moment, after 20 days of continuous use, the functioning is impeccable and travels at approximately +8s/d_-6s/d,...and therefore in practice I have not had to correct the time during this period of use.
The power reserve, without using the chronograph, is approximately 51 hours, which is really good!
I am very satisfied with this timepiece, and we will see how it will perform in the future
