Re: Grimlocktime
Hey Mel! Not long ago as he was selling a watch and I made a comment…for a few years now, I’ve tried three emails and a few forums with no luck…

I basically need watches that he sold me repaired. Haven’t been able to wear them since purchase. He used to have great communication…

There's plenty of modders/watchmakers out there, why didn't you consider one of them if Grim wasn't replying?ccargofast wrote: ↑October 8th, 2024, 3:19 pm I basically need watched that he sold me repaired. Haven’t been able to wear them since purchase. He used to have great communication…

Re: Grimlocktime
Argh…sorry Kilowattore, I thought that I responded to this. You’re definitely correct that there’s other modders/watchmakers out there. It’s the principle of the matter that he’s sold items that have malfunctioned and said that he’ll repair them. I believe that he got in trouble or was banned on another forum for the same issue…
I believe that Chileantiques was banned until further notice for a similar issue. I’m just seeking guidance on tracking Grim down to do the right thing

You're free to do what you want of course, but I doubt anyone can force him to repair your watches. You say he's not been replying for years... This should tell you something imho.ccargofast wrote: ↑November 3rd, 2024, 9:43 am Argh…sorry Kilowattore, I thought that I responded to this. Re: Grimlocktime
Hello gents, for painful reasons I’d rather not air in public, I had to step away from the hobby. Any friends here can text me or PM me and I’ll fill you in.
In short, I stopped taking work from people years ago to mitigate tragedy in my family. All is well now. But it took every spare second of my time. Everything superfluous in my life came to a complete and total stop: calls, emails, texts, hobbies…everything. Not the best form, I understand, especially for those who were trying to contact me to repair their timepieces. However in hindsight, given the fact that everyone in my family is happy and well, I have no regrets.
With that said, I offered Chris a payment to help take care of any fixes or modifications he wants to have done at another watch maker.
In the mean time I’m continuing to appear from time to time to divest of my extra parts and builds both finished and unfinished. So maybe I’ll see you around.
Thanks guys!
