This one just to show you that I’m not totally obsessed by pirates and can also make more ‘poetic’ dials
DIAL: 0.5mm CuSn6 Bronze (yes, really bronze, no mistake)
Laser engraved with 4 layers to create depth effect
polished details, rounded some edges… striving not to touch the grain of background
Then chemical oxidations, partially soften.
This dial was a surprise since I wasn’t expecting to achieve such colors with CuSn6 bronze.
The Manta Ray is close to blue heated steel tint, quite difficult to photography since it changes with light angle.
Water background has gun metal and silver tint.
Indexes are carved in the mass, quick and dirty resin lumed.
CASE: Cheap Alix RO
Actually, I’ve chosen this case just because the bezel looks like a boat porthole.
HANDS: Random, untouched, as if someone was exited to finish the build…
Globally, I’m not totally satisfied with this build since the dial do not receive enough light to play with, and finally looks too dark.
Dial itself is spectacular, but not into this case.
