Noob DLC case vs Getat PVD case

Post by pam_azsa »

Hello HF,

I am in dilemma what case to get for my 203a PreV build. I need your help.

I can try to search around for PAM360 Noob watch (or any other 44mm Pam with DLC coating) or to get the Getat PVD matte black case (with solid brass caseback).

What do you guys think would be the best option?

When it comes to little differences comparing to gen PreV, I don’t care. As long as it looks like gen preV with naked eye, I am ok with that.

Thank you HF.

don't forget you will have to drill the case for the double screw lug bars which will damage the DLC,

The Getats DLC is Black Black and Black, certainly not pencil lead grey like it should be. Th enoob is definitely a better colour.

Would be interesting to see side by side. Getat is a great quality case

The difference is night and day, whilst the quality of getat S case is really good it is just too black for a panerai. Almost as black as ceramic black. The noob cases had a great pencil, lead grey. I’ve got a noob case, I’ll try and get some pictures done

If I ever find this kind of case, I don't think I will drill anything. I will leave it as it is. :)

I saw that Getat case is way too black, and thats why I asked your guys opinion what is the best option.

Thank you for your inputs.

All you have to do is get a fine sanding sponge or cape cod cloth to sand down the DLC and it should achieve a pencil grey color.
