Just as a follow up Yesterday I received a Doctor bill yesterday for $87.60. Now the Bill format , Name of Company, color and font of company did not look familiar but the amount $87.60 was familiar, I remember numbers for some reason and sure enough I PAID this bill April 2nd electronically and they should have received it April 2nd. This is typical and irritating and part of the reason I posted this topic. This is my experience in the USA so I can't speak to other Countries however our relatives in FRANCE with socialised medicine will tell you they still have to pay for from what I have been told is very substandard care and service.
For further clarification when I say Dr bill I mean any medical service.

Re: Duplicate Bills WARNING
Its not weird here in California USA with Anthem Blue Cross PPO which is very good health insurance..Just about the best you can get. Now for normal people this would cost about $1200 per month for my wife and I but since I worked for the State in a particularly dangerous profession for 28 years they pay about $1000 and I pay the remainder. Still it was part of my contract and I would not have done the job without it and a very good retirement package.
That $87 was my portion of a $1100 anesthesia bill my wife incurred when she had Hernia surgery a couple months ago so really I can't complain however.
For a normal Drs visits it $10 and for a Specialist its $35.
I just get upset because if you think of all the people who dont pay attention to the OVERBILLING and Double billing these companies must make BILLIONS of Dollars in unearned $$$$ this to me is offensive especially when done to the Elderly and people who struggle in life.
