really nice dial @madasboot
On my side I sent the 3D of my new bezel to various suppliers to check the cost.

Hi @toofsy, nice 3D.
Only issue I see is quantities.
According to my vietnamese sources, most of the production is made in china and even for something as simple as a bezel insert minimum quantities are 2000…

In fact I asked to prototyping spacialists that can make only unit. They can mix CNC and lathe, you pay according the machining time and material. I should have a call with the engineer next week to precise my need. I will ask price for 1, 5, 10 pieces. The bezel should cost more than the Rduane, I will see, but my idea is to gather informations to be able to use the CNC (MDX 50, 5 axis) from the FabLab when it will be operationnal.
If not I have sources in china for MOQ 500 pcs

At this time I'm learning to use the "Manufacture" part from my 3D software (Fusion 360) which is able to manage the CNC machine.

Hey @Toofsy
Nice work with Fusion.
I had a quick look to MDX 50 specs: no chance to machine stainless steel with this machine, soft materials only

Hello FF lovers,
this morning i received the other FF homage with drilled lugs. We all thought that it's the same case as the Rduane but not...
I take time to gather a maximum of specs to compare them.
Globally it could be consider as the same except some design details. The most visible are :
- The top edge of the bezel
- The drilled out lugs whitout chamfer, the spring bar are lower and far from the case
- 19mm VS 20mm strap
- Almost steril caseback
- Blue AR glass VS incolor, the distortion seems more important with the new blue glass

I let you see the more detailled specs on the following sheet.

Personnaly I keep the same idea :
-Rduane still the best base for a Tornek-Rayville or Blancpain US Navy homage.
-The new case is interesting for my plan du custom the bezel for a wider one (the most difficult part of the plan), 2 parts caseback

The insert which is coming with the new case is not glue and it is a good thing, because you can easily trash it according to his shitty yellow numbers and you can see the assembling which is really easy to remove.

Mine just finished, courtesy of our dear @Mir36 .
Looks good but needs a crystal replacement, lower sit and less distortion; this crystal impeaches full perception of the dial.
Can benefit with an insert upgrade.

Dial is my own production.

@madasboot
Nice one! and once again perfect luming work.
I know that each detail matters for you,
so Iet me add that the moisture indicator is bit too dark and even color IMHO
Seems to lack the paper texture, but maybe it's due to photo...
