Rolex Deep-sea Seadweller homage

This is not mine. But after seeing so many inspiring homage builds, especially the recent deskdiver mod from TimeLost, I am now considering to make a build or commission a builder here to help me with a build.

My idea is use the DSSD case set for the size and heft, to build a MM600 homage of sorts and want to explore some ideas and seek the knowlege of the seiko experts.

For this build, I would ideally like to use a MM dial, maybe a dark meteorite dial with customised words from the hk dial maker guy. Original MM gold hands.

I would like to change the bezel to a sawtooth bezel, similar to that used in the MM600, and a similar bezel insert. Not sure if this can be done easily or I need to customise a bezel.

Also maybe to reshape the case edges to add some seiko style chamfering.

This just arrived.

May I know how to measure out if I can replace the supplied crown with a seiko branded one.

Also where are your reliable sources for a NH movement.Image

I will try with 7s26, it's more common on e... and has some measures as nh35

7s26 is non wind and hack version of SII NH35/6 or Seiko (4r35/6). I'm not sure if RLX case needs black or grey movement holder I assume grey. By looking that Seiko DEEPSEA dial I think it's Rico AKA DialMaker in HK because he put "limited edition" on all his dial. Good luck with your build.

Is Rico on our forum? Does anyone have a link to his stuff?

It looks cool, but I heard that the strap wears out quickly. Although nowadays this is not a problem. Look here https://www.horusstraps.com/collections ... -for-rolex. Straps are sold at every turn. Only often you can fall for a fake.
By the way, you have very good taste when it comes to watches.
