I reckon I have a few 50 year old belts in the back of my cupboard that no longer fit.
Old leather is great to work with, now you just need nice buckles! Found mines on IG

I just bought this bag from local antique shop. Very cheap $25. And after I received I am convinced this a real thing. Betmen's leather quality... No paint nor spray.. Cut it raw. Image

Another 1940 Perin ammo bag. Just cut, punched and stitched.

I think the secret is the stitch material and finishing shading treatment. I am still learning and I use all cheap stuffs, no wax no coloring. And my stitching is still all over the place :) Image

Hi there! I'm new at leatherwork and was looking for some tips for beginners. Before, I did machine and hand embroidery, but now I'm interested in leatherwork.
A little about what I want to do. I am going to do purses and gloves. I may sell them when my skill is up. I wanted to ask where should I start. I've decided to begin with choosing a machine for leather. I found a few reviews of sewing machines for leather
This website says how to choose a sewing machine www.techsew.com/us/blog/how-to-pick-the ... chine.html.
I also found a list best of sewing machines for leather. Some of them suit beginners https://www.craftyhangouts.com/best-sew ... r-leather/.
Honestly, I am confused with such an amount of info.
I'll appreciate any advice.
Many thanks.
