one lost sheep comes home

Hi, brothers!
Damm! this is like to write a letter to an old friend :) I guess I have to start from the beginning. I was born here, well, in the old forum, as a curious newbie "watch-toucher". For a long time I learned a lot from you and with you (yes, with each one of you). So the first thing I need to say is "THANK YOU". The second thing is: I am happy to come back here, to continue learning and sharing, if possible, the few things that I have learned during this time. The third thing is that I have become a "humble-little-craftsman-who-makes-parts-for-watches". Plastic parts: dials, inserts, chapter rings, hands ... and anything I can think of that I can make with plastic. Finally, and not to bore, I would like to send a hug to Emilio, Antonio, Elias, Michael, Adrian, Ross and many other friends who helped me so much and I will always be grateful.

Just had a look! Fantastic stuff...

odokadolo you‘d be the one to ask for a bakelite-style gmt bezel insert, right?
I‘m not from „back in the day“ but still - welcome!

You know there's no place better than home! So welcome back!

Am a fan of your bakelite insert and your newly innovative plastic hands.

I agree with Emilio that you should share/post lots of pictures of the many creations you have here.

Cheers.

Thank you so, so much, my brothers. Yes, I feel at home. Answering to mister Emilio I´ll try to show you the last project. I make parts, custom orders the most of the times but this time a client asked me for a whole mod. A vostok mod, soviet-nuclear theme, so I started to digg and think... and I would stop to write and show you the pics.

Global concept

Image

First dial

Image

Here... well I was digging more and found how looks the counter at dark. That makes me to change the first plan and I made another dial.

Image

Here, another turn, the plexy concept. I decided to add (at least) defined hours marks and lume all the marks and radiation symbol.

Image

And here the parts are joining... (The plexy still has the protection cover)

Image

The insert! almost forgot the insert. I took the layout of the counter switch and brought it to the insert.

Image

And for now, I'm here.

Image

I hope you like it :)
