Need dial and movement diameters (Heuer)

Post by merlin7734 »

I’m contemplating pocket watch conversion but I’m having trouble finding the measurements for a Heuer Master Time rally car dash watch as well as an old Leonidas pocket watch. Can anybody help a complete noob out?

Do you already have the clock or are you looking for one?
It's a mighty big movement in there, whether it is the Arogno calibre 28 or the Revue Thommen calibre 63 movement.
There were both double and single barrel movements made.

I don’t. And they aren’t cheap. I’m just hoping The dial will fit something I have in mind (50mm case). I believe the Master Times were either 52-53 or 56-57 but there aren’t any specs anywhere

I see.

It's not 56-57mm, because the square back plate is (was) 57,5mm, I can imagine that the dial would be more like 52-53mm without any facts at hand.

If you see one for sale, shoot the seller and ask. That's what I would do.

Ok thanks. The other option... is to find someone on here (I don’t really know who to reach out to as I’ve mostly just been on the forum looking at Athaya Pilot builds) and see if they can recreate a slightly smaller version of the dial for me to put in the case I’m getting.

Pvirus, Niranjan and Ross are the first three I can think of.

You can find their contact information in Sponsor forum far down on this site.

Thank you guys! The dial is 47 (46,99) millimeters. I’m guessing this will put the 50mm case I really wanted to use out of the running? Or is there still a chance?

It all depends on the movement size.
